ARCHIVE for the HISTORY of ECONOMIC THOUGHT

This is a (more or less up to date) copy of the  Archive for the History of Economic Thought created by Rod Hay at McMaster University in Canada.  This site is maintained by Robert Dixon in the Economics Department of the University of Melbourne.

Users in Australia (certainly) and East & South East Asia and Oceania (probably) will find it faster than the original site. Users in the Americas should use Rod Hay's original site. Users in Britain and other parts of Europe should use the mirror site at the University of Bristol maintained by Tony Brewer. Tony Brewer also has an excellent collection of other resources and links of interest to students of the history of economic thought. Another possibility is Michio Akama's site in Japan, which includes brief biographical and reference material on authors featured. For French language texts, and much else, see Paulette Taieb's site or the virtual bibliography at the University of Paris. Readers might also be interested in the list of writers at the New School's web site

You can either search the archives search now (temporarily unavailable) , or move to an author of your choice by selecting the first letter of their surname in the alphabet box directly below.

Visually impaired users may be interested in Adobe's new reader. It is not as good as the old one for reading on the screen but it will read pdf and html files aloud.
